Tom Hiddleston, Karen Gillan, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and David Dastmalchian have appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but none of them share a scene together
Plot
A genre-bending, slice-of-life story based on Stephen King’s novella about three chapters in the life of an ordinary man named Charles Krantz. Hiddleston is Loki and is best known for the Thor (2011) films and the Loki (2021) television series, Gillan is Nebula and is best known for the Čuvari galaksije (2014) films, Ejiofor is Baron Mordo from the Doctor Strange (2016) films, while Dastmalchian is Kurt from the first 2 Ant-Man films and Veb in Ant-Man and the Wasp: The Calamity (2023).
Mentioned in Front Row Flynn: SLEEPING DOGS: Karen Gillan, Adam Cooper, moderator Perri Nemiroff (2024)
I started watching The Life of Chuck not knowing anything about it except that it was a Stephen King novella. I assumed the movie would be a horror movie, and I was very wrong, in the best sense of the word.
Mike Flanagan is a director I was also unfamiliar with, so my expectations were completely empty
Still, The Life of Chuck took the idea of a great horror movie – creating vivid and relatable characters and placing them in a unique and mysterious situation. I want to keep my critique relatively vague, because I think the plot of a movie works best when you don’t know much about it.
I recommend it
After watching the movie, I felt a mixture of joy and melancholy and appreciated the craftsmanship that led me to that.
