Colin Farrell fought hard to get his version of the Penguin to smoke tobacco in Batman (2022), but failed

Following the events of Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, aka The Penguin, goes on a spree to take control of Gotham’s criminal underworld. From melting makeup to filming in freezing temperatures, Colin Farrell and Cristin Milioti talk about getting into character during the making of The Penguin. For his own series, however, the character was portrayed as an occasional tobacco user, with a penchant for cigars.

I wouldn’t have thought of him for this role, but Colin Farrell simply gave the best performance of his career with an incredible portrayal of the Penguin. If he doesn’t win Best Actor at the Golden Globes, SAG Awards, and everywhere else, he won’t appreciate how the producers, writers, and incredible makeup team helped Colin Turin deliver this incredible performance that will be the hallmark of his career and the landmark role of the Penguin for the next 3 generations. This performance is making me type because I’m blown away!
